Lori Jeter (70), of Canyon Lake, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2025. She was born in San Diego, California, in 1955 to Wayne and Margaret Dearth.

Prior to living in Canyon Lake, Lori was a long time resident of Wimberley, Texas where she passionately and lovingly taught elementary students. Her artistic creativity was apparent in her classroom as well as her teaching style. She loved her students and the time she had with each of them.

Lori was a joyful bright light, her smile lighting up the room, her tender care lightening hearts, her care for others binding up wounds, and her creation of beauty bringing color to everyday moments. She faithfully and steadfastly loved God. She wanted everyone to know God, and devoted her life to display and tell others what He has done. Her devotion to Him is evident in the way she loved others and lived her life.

Lori deeply loved her husband, Val, calling him the love of her life. She experienced great joy in her marriage. Their love for one another was unmatched and redemptive. She was a tender, fierce, prayerful, gentle mom to her children. Her grand babies knew her as Yaya, and they knew deep, pure, joyful delight because she delighted in them greatly. They love her snuggles, her Christmas cookies, her ways of making mundane things fun, and being with and learning from her in her art studio. She was deeply cherished by her parents, sisters, family and friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Margaret Dearth. Lori is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Valiant Jeter. Children: Heather (Aaron) Ritt, Thomas (Brittany) Blythe, Michele (John) Brockman, Casey Jeter (Gill), Amanda (Billy) Armstrong. Grandchildren: Avery Ritt, Colton Ritt, Austin Ritt, Britnee Brockman, Baleigh Brockman, Waylon Jeter, Willow Jeter, William Armstrong, Samuel Armstrong, Anna Armstrong, and Ruth Armstrong. Sisters: Lynn Sundholm, Debbie (Pat) Gasser, Marla (Doug) Manuel, a multitude of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
