I met Gene at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico the spring of 2008.
We carpooled often and our office’s at workwere next to each other.
Gene and Charlotte frequently hosted back yard low country boils, and BBQs, and we were always invited. That guy was an amazing cook!
I don’t know how many times I told my wife “that feed was the best I’ve ever had”.
What I remember most about Gene was his disposition. He was always pleasant to be around. I can’t recall a time when I ever saw him down. He was highly competent in his assigned duties, and was always willing to help someone who was having difficulties.
He loved his family, he treated everyone respect, and was honest man.
That’s the important stuff.
He left us with some good memories.
God bless Gene and his family.
