David Lawrence Staats left us Feb. 5, 2026. He was born in New Braunfels Nov. 24, 1955 to Imo Gene Henne and Raymond Staats.
Survived by his wife Kerry, children, Heather, John, Shane and Katrina, their spouses Jason, Danika, Emma and Hannah, sister Rae Gene and her daughter Bobbie Rae, grandchildren Erika, Hunter, Logan and Zoey and great grandson Keagan.
David worked in the Electric Dept of NBU for 25 years. He was a member of the Comal County Fair Assoc. David loved his family, softball and classic rock music and was proud to be the first coach to take a Girls Softball team from New Braunfels to state. Dave will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of David’s passing. He was truly a special individual. The transition from co-worker to friend was an easy one and he will always have a place in my heart.
