  5. In Loving Memory of Richard D. Mulkey

Richard was the kind of person who would literally give you the shirt off his back. He went out of his way to help others, to make people laugh, and to show up — even when no one showed up for him. His life was marked by a servant‑hearted spirit, a generosity that was never for show, and a strength that didn’t depend on applause or recognition. He gave because it was simply who he was, not because he expected anything in return.

That’s why it still hurts to know that, in his time of need, the support he so freely gave wasn’t given back to him. He deserved better while he was still here.

Richard lived with a Christ‑like heart — giving, loving, and serving even when it wasn’t returned. And now, in his absence, people finally speak of the kindness and goodness he carried every single day. Their words now only reveal the impact he had all along.

Some people are only celebrated once they’re no longer here — and that says more about the living than the one who passed. But Richard’s legacy speaks for itself. His love, his laughter, and his quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who truly knew him
