In Loving Memory of Michael Howard Moss
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, family member, and friend, Michael Howard Moss of New Braunfels, Texas. Michael passed away on July 20, 2026. He was born on January 9, 1957.
Michael was welcomed into Heaven by his mother, Norma Moss; his father, Harlan Moss; and his brother, Dennis Moss.
He leaves behind his children, Erika Moss Barragan and her husband, Alex; Melanie Moss; and Philip Moss; his beloved sister, Donna Lipsey, and her husband, Steve; and three cherished grandchildren who were the light of his life. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being with his family, sharing stories, laughing together, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, carrying with him a deep sense of honor and dedication. More importantly, he lived his life with faith in Jesus Christ. As a Christian, he found strength, hope, and peace in God’s promises, and we take comfort in knowing he is now at home with his Savior.
To know Michael was to know someone who was incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, and endlessly curious. He could spend hours talking about life’s biggest questions, sharing wisdom, or making everyone around him laugh with his quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor. His laughter was contagious, his heart was generous, and his love for his family never wavered.
Music was one of Michael’s greatest joys. Whether listening to a favorite song or sharing music with those he loved, it was always a part of his life. He also loved spending time at the beach, where he found peace in the sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the beauty of God’s creation.
Although our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the years we shared with him. We will miss his laughter, his conversations, his wisdom, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will live on in each of us—in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught us, and the love he leaves behind.
Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Friend – you were deeply loved, and you always will be. Until we meet again, may you rest in the eternal peace of our Lord.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
