George Cole Cleveland

If this is the George Cleveland who attended Goodwin Elementary, George was always one of those good guys who wanted more friends but wasn’t on the inside like me. I hope this changed for him because he deserved it. I heard he went into the Air Force. My father was too and we were here long enough for George and I to become friends but we should’ve been closer being one of those who was better than the ones we chose to hang with. The day we left George came to my grandmother’s house to see if I could come out. When my grandmother told him we left my father being transferred to the east coast he broke down crying. When I learned this later it was a stab in my heart for not being a better friend. I hope now he has peace and can forgive me for not being more understanding.
