David "Kenny" Lux President & Funeral Director in Charge

Kenny, a native of New Braunfels, who has 24 years of experience in the funeral business, is the owner and Funeral Director in Charge of Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services. He started his career as a funeral director and embalmer in 1994 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, where he spent the next 12 years. In 2006, he joined Meadowlawn Crematory & American Mortuary in San Antonio as General Manager. On July 1, 2011, he purchased Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels New Braunfels location and renamed the location Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Kenny has a diploma in Mortuary Science and a Bachelor's of Science in Business. Kenny and his beautiful wife, Misty, who is a student midwife in New Braunfels, have a total of nine children.

Valerie Costello Funeral Director & Embalmer

Valerie, a native of Connecticut, has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2009. Valerie graduated from Briarwood College in Southington, Connecticut in 2008 with an Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science. She has been a resident of San Antonio since 2011. In addition, Valerie has been with Lux Funeral Home since January of 2013.  Her expertise as an embalmer, cosmetologist and funeral director are unparalleled, and have added to the growth and success of Lux Funeral Home in a short period of time.

Corina Barron Kaiser Funeral Director & Embalmer

Corina, a native of San Antonio, has been a licensed Embalmer since 2013. She obtained her Funeral Director’s license October of 2016 and has been with Lux Funeral Home since March of 2016. Although Corina has only been with Lux Funeral Home for three years, her exceptional skills as an embalmer and funeral director, combined with sharp attention to detail has made Lux Funeral Home a success. Corina graduated from San Antonio College in 2013 with an Associate’s Degree in Mortuary Science. She married James in November 2015. James and Corina have a beautiful daughter, Iris.

Felipe Ramirez Funeral Home Assistant

Felipe, a native of New Braunfels, graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1994.  Felipe joined Lux Funeral Home in January of 2018 as a funeral assistant.  He assists with evening Rosaries, visitations, funeral services and memorial services.  On his off time, Felipe helps his father run the daily operations of their family-owned restaurant, Hanna’s Kitchen, here in New Braunfels.  Felipe and his family are long-time members of Holy Family Catholic Church.  He is the father of four and has two grandchildren.

LaVerne (Tudy) Evans Administrative Assistant, Pre-Need Counselor

Tudy, a native of Texas, grew up in Big Foot, graduated from Devine High School and Hallmark College. She spent several years in banking, and has been in the funeral business for more than 10 years. In addition, Tudy is a licensed Pre-Need Counselor. Tudy has two children and numerous grandchildren. She has been with Lux Funeral Home since June of 2019.

Adriana Gonzales-Bueche Pre-Need Counselor

Adriana, a native of New Braunfels, has been involved in the funeral business for 12 years. In addition, she has 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, assisting families with their prepaid, prearranged funeral plans. The funeral industry has provided Adriana with a wonderful opportunity to assist families in their time of need. She has a wonderful husband, three children, a step-son and numerous  beautiful grandchildren. Adriana has been with Lux Funeral Home since 2011.  In addition, Adriana also assists with evening Rosaries and visitations.

Selina Ozuna-Edwards Pre-Need Counselor

Selina, a native of New Braunfels, is a Licensed Insurance Agent in the State of Texas and has been assisting families in the community with funeral pre-arrangements for the past two years. Selina, bilingual in both English and Spanish, has been a resident of San Antonio since 2004 and is a single mom of three wonderful children.
