Andrew Johnson of New Braunfels TX passed away Saturday, December 27 2025, a week after his 49th birthday. Andrew was born in New Hampshire on December 21, 1976 to parents Dr Wayne Johnson and Judy (Rose) Johnson, who preceded him in death.
Andrew’s first school was the United Methodist Preschool in Universal City TX. He was a graduate of Canyon High School in New Braunfels. Throughout his childhood he enjoyed traveling with his parents. His mother’s study of family history and genealogy became an interest of Andrew’s also. He was proud of his Swedish and Portuguese heritage. Andrew liked to explore, and work outdoors at the family home in Lewis Ranch. He was a Boy Scout, attending many camps and activities. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Andrew was a Marine Corps Veteran. After training at Quantico he served domestically and abroad for five years. Andrew was a longtime employee of the HEB in New Braunfels. He had attended the First Baptist Church of New Braunfels where he sang in the choir and had an opportunity to grow in fellowship and faith.
Special thanks to the staff and friends at Braunfels Place Apartments where Andrew resided for many years.
Andrew made many friends in the community. He will be remembered as a warm and pleasant person who had a kind word for everyone.
Funeral services will be held on:

Lux Funeral Home in New Braunfels TX
A procession will follow to Fort Sam Houston in
San Antonio TX where Marine Honors will be rendered at 1:15 PM
A Swedish Evening Prayer (excerpted)
God, Give us grace to take our rest in safety
this night beneath Your protection and when our
last evening comes grant that we fall asleep in
Your peace, through Your Son, Jesus Christ
Our Lord. Amen
