Cleto Elizondo

Cleto Elizondo, a resident of Marion, passed away on Thursday morning, August 23, 2018 at Eden Home at the age of 83. Cleto was born on April 26, 1935 in Charlotte, TX to the late Adolfo Elizondo and Josefina Ramon Elizondo. Mr. Elizondo worked hard his entire life as a farmer. In addition to his parents, Cleto was preceded in death by his children, Raul, Eliazar, Fermin Elizondo and Ninfa and Joe Villarreal, Jr. Survivors include his loving wife, Fidela Elizondo; daughters, Irene Medina, Leticia Martinez, Velma Vega, and Veronica Delgado; sons, Norberto Elizondo, Noe Elizondo, and Abel Elizondo. Also Surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 AM. All services will end at the conclusion of the Mass on Wednesday morning.

I am the daughter of Regino Mata, Jr. and granddaughter of Regino and Isabel Mata. My thoughts and prayers are with my family. I found out this morning about Tio Cleto’s passing and his dark hair, dark moustache, and his smile flooded my mind. I was young when you all moved but I have fond memories.
