Domingo Quirino, age 74, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away peacefully and entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday evening, March 12, 2026.
Domingo, also known as Mingo, was born on August 12, 1951, in San Antonio to the late Gonzalo Quirino and Raymunda Juarez Espinoza.
Mingo married the love of his life, Cecilia Lazaro Quirino in 1970, and recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and Popo.
Mingo was an extremely hard worker. He worked in the drywall construction industry for more than 50 years, owning his own business-Domingo’s Drywall.
Mingo was known for his honesty, fairness and dependability. For several years, Mingo served as a Spanish translator for Heart of Hope at Oakwood Church, and was baptized there on September 28, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Raymunda Espinoza. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Cecilia; son, Ernest Quirino; daughters, Terri Quirino, and Sandra Quirino Ortiz and husband, Charles; grandson, Vincent Quirino, and granddaughters, Madison Gomez, Jazmyne Ortiz and Mya Gomez.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Advance Hospice and his nurses, Abigail Torres, Alyssa and Chaplain Daniel Perez. In addition, the Quirino family extends their heartfelt gratitude to those who prayed with and prayer over the family.
