Obituary for Mr. Isabel H. Medellin

November 20, 1941 – November 14, 2025

Mr. Isabel H. Medellin, a man of respect, courage, and devotion, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, with his wife Maria by his side. Born on November 20, 1941, to Magdaleno Medellin and Dominga Hernandez. He carried their values of hard work, kindness, and devotion throughout his life.

Isabel dedicated his life to the open road as a professional driver, a career he loved that saw him master the powerful 18-wheeler. His devotion to his profession was matched only by his love for his family and his unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys. Known for his hard work, love of travel, and deep commitment to family, he leaves behind numerous relatives who will cherish his memory. He will be remembered for his bravery, generosity, and adventurous spirit.

Isabel is preceded in death by his parents; extra mom, Jacinta Hernandez; brothers, Frank Gallegos and Ascension Gallegos, and by his daughter, Diana R. Medellin. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Maria; children, Isabel R. Medellin Jr. (Julia), Ricardo Medellin, Jesse Joe Medellin (Adelina), Alberto R. Medellin, and Mario Medellin; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jose Angel Medellin (Maria), Reyes Medellin, Guadalupe Garcia, Dominga Patina, and Sofia Torres. He leaves behind numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Sts. Peter and Paul II.
