Jesusa Vidaurri Arriaga

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jesusa Vidaurri Arriaga, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the age of 97. She was born on October 25, 1919 in Seguin to the late Elias and Manuela Vidaurri. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Cenobio Rangel Arriaga. Survivors include her children, Sue Warren, Cino Arriaga and wife Mary Lou of New Braunfels, Rita Arriaga Cantu of Leander and David Arriaga and wife Vickie of Dallas; four grandchildren, Craig Scott Warren and wife Erin of Plano, Rita S. Johnson and husband Christopher of Edinburg, Marisa Arriaga of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Lindsay Arriaga-Rolfert and husband Ryan of Rowayton, CT; five great-grandchildren, Mikaela and Christopher Johnson, II, Nicholas, Ella and Ethan Rolfert; brothers, Alfredo Vidaurri of Ft. Worth and Jesus Vidaurri of Vacaville, CA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM with the funeral service beginning at 2:30 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. All services will end at the conclusion of the funeral on Saturday afternoon.
The loss of Mrs. Jesusa Vidaurri Arriaga a cherished loved one is the most devastating experiences family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are people who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that “God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time of grief.
