After a long hard medical battle, Judy Lacar Harris, 46, of Maxwell, TX, passed away on January 23, 2026 in San Marcos. Born in San Antonio, TX, she was the daughter of David Arnold Pendergraft and Judy Pat West Pendergraft. She always was a proud Texan no matter where she lived, but New Braunfels always had her heart!
Her life was defined simply by the love of her family and her strong faith. Judy was a mother at heart, protecting and loving her family at all costs. Many people called her mom and she loved it that way. She always had the answer. Judy’s strength and love for the Lord ran through her. Everything she did was to serve the Lord above. The Lord was a huge part in her legacy. If you knew Judy, you would know she could not make it through her day without her phone, coffee and vape.
Judy is survived by her husband, Danny Ray Harris; children, Danny Garth Alexander Harris, Cody Bryan Pendergraft, Katie Lacar Blount, Brady Mikah Harris, Korey RaeAnn Harris; son-in-law, Michael Blount; daughter-in-law Morgan Alyssa; grandchildren, Christopher Rose Harris, Presley Anne Harris.
Judy is preceded by her grandparents, Roy Pendergraft, Carylene Pendergraft, Donald Bowen; sibling, brother David Wayne Pendergraft; child, Diamond Cole Harris.

RIP beautiful, the most beautiful person I’ve ever met inside and out, never met a stranger. She lived her life to the fullest, she loved her babies, Our babies, anyone’s child that approached her door was her child! Anyone who approached her or entered her home was a friend, but don’t get me wrong if you were making bad decisions, she would call you out because she loved you, and my favorite thing about her was when Life stepped in with marriage and babies and you lose touch for a minute, Judy would just pick back up like it was yesterday! She was my sister that I picked myself, she was my therapist, and when things were rough,She was my escape from the world! no matter what you were going through. She made you feel like you were enough and that you mattered and my favorite one “don’t let the devil steal your sunshine!” love you doll. See you on the other side! Danny, I’m so sorry for your great loss, my condolences to you, the kids and the grandkids🙏❤️❤️💔😢
Kathy, I’m so sorry for your loss, I know the pain is so real, and you and your family feel like the pain will never go away. Just know your mom is always with you and will forever be your guardian angel. God bless you always
There’s so many things I could put here to show my love and appreciation for you mama. Knowing we still had so much to do and laugh about breaks my heart, but I promise that I will do everything in my power to keep your spirit alive and that we as a big happy family, will live, love and prosper with you in mind. I love you always and miss you until my heart stops beating.
Rest easy Judy.. sure will miss our talks. Love you. Prayers for the family. Sorry I want be able to be there
I love you,
Shandi
