Katalin Karpaty

November 5, 1951 ~ June 21, 2025
Katalin Karpaty went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2025. She lived a life serving the Lord and her family.
Katalin was born in Tiszakorod, Hungary on November 5, 1951. She grew up helping her family on their farm. She moved to Budapest at 16 years old to attend school. She worked as an accountant at a chocolate factory. During this time Katalin was searching. She sensed there was more to life than what she had experienced. She had a coworker that had a joy and contentment that Katalin was unfamiliar with. She spoke to her coworker who then invited her to a summer camp. That is where she encountered Jesus and got saved. She dedicated her life to following and serving the Lord. Not long after she became part of a Christian commune with like-minded believers. That is where she met Peter. The Lord brought them together and they fell in love and got married. They had four children whom they raised to follow the Lord. Peter was involved heavily in ministry, and he started facing persecution due to communism in Hungary. The Lord called Peter and his family to leave the country and move to America. Through a miracle they received passports for the entire family. The family filled their suitcases and belongings in their vehicle and headed west. They lived in Holland where they awaited their visas for political asylum which took 6 months. They then traveled to California where they spent the next 20 wonderful years raising a family and in ministry. They spent the last 16 years of their lives in Arizona and Texas. Peter passed away in 2022 whom she missed dearly. They both ministered in many countries spreading the gospel. Katalin was involved behind the scenes supporting her husband throughout the years. They had a container mission where they collected clothing and medical supplies for the poor. Katalin also was involved with helping organize and seek financial funds for people that needed special surgeries. She was a prayer warrior. The Lord had saved Peter’s life several times through her prayers. She was also involved in translating and publishing Peter’s books. Katalin’s life was truly of a servant. She loved Jesus and people and wanted to serve in any way she could.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Racz, her father Bela Racz and brother Barna Racz. She is survived by her children; Ben Karpaty and his wife, Eszter Karpaty and their children, Havalyn and Hanna, her daughter, Anna Raby and her husband, Matt Raby and their children, Jack, Levi and Noah, her son Sam Karpaty and daughter Kristy Karpaty and her husband, Chris Stuckey.
