Kevin Brown

Kevin Michael Brown, 39, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Austin, Texas. Kevin was born on April 30, 1986 in Webster, Texas to Keena and Dennis Peek Jr.

As a young boy, Kevin was involved in many sports activities; karate, soccer, baseball, football, BMX racing, roller hockey and inline skating. In his late teens, influenced by his dad, Kevin started playing guitar. He and his friends formed a band “End Effect”. They wrote and recorded their own music and played at local venues. Kevin also loved to play games, especially every holiday, with family.

After graduating from Canyon High School in 2004, Kevin attended computer trade school that would eventually lead him to Los Angeles, California where he lived and secured a job at a worldwide travel company. From there, he lived and worked in Toronto, Canada then eventually made his way back to Texas, where he lived in Austin with his pride and joy, Bowser.

During Kevin’s incredible lifetime, he made many friendships, not just here, but all over the world and impacted their lives, individually, in so many ways. Just like his mom and dad, Kevin loved to travel and wanted to see the world. Kevin’s witty sense of humor, creative mind and HUGE heart will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kevin is preceded in death by his great-grandparents “Papaw” Charles and Willie Mae Brown, Earl and Lorene Robinson; Granmama, Glenda Eisenwine; Pop, Dennis Peek Sr.;
Grandma, Sherry Tschoepe; and Uncle, Scott Brown.

He is survived by his parents, Keena and Dennis Peek Jr.; his beloved dog, Bowser; grandparents, Don and Nita Brown, Martin Tschoepe; aunts, Jennifer Wooley and husband Gaddis, Sonya Brown and husband Larry, Renee Havis and husband James; and cousins, Taya Schaefer and husband Cody, Trey Wooley, Aubrey Wooley, Blane Brown and wife Brittany, Madison Brown, Maile Havis and Austin Havis.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lux Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Kevin would want a donation to be made to any pet charity of your choice, because of the love he had for Bowser and all animals.

~In loving memory of “Papaw” with whom Kevin had a very close bond. Papaw taught Kevin the true meaning of being spoiled, at the same time, kindness, respect and love.~

  4. Kevin, I know we haven’t talked in great length after our college years. Just wanted to say I had a great time growing up with you during our teenage years, playing in the band, goofing off with our friends, getting into trouble while still learning the ways of life! Its been a struggle for me to not play back all of our memories together and I chatted with ya at your service, but we will get into trouble and play music together again. Its in the cards! Love ya brother. McSkoodles crew and McBuff – Inside joke** you would understand Kevin! Ill never forget you!
