M. Elaine Biggs

m. biggs

M. Elaine Biggs [aka Mom] was born March 6, 1935, and passed on August 12, 2025, after a brief illness. She didn’t care for her first name although it suited her. [Myrtle means love & beauty, peace, prosperity]. She chose instead to go by her middle name Elaine [meaning light, radiance].
She is survived by her children Diane [Randy] Weaver, Art Biggs, David Biggs, Ryan [Daisy] Biggs and daughter in law Cate Biggs, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Art, son Edmund, daughter Donna, daughters in law Stacie Biggs and Lori Biggs…those are the stats, but not her life.
I remember one Thanksgiving she asked me [David] to get the turkey out of the garage freezer so she could defrost it and discovered someone had stolen it…she didn’t miss a beat and merely said they must have needed it more than we did. I have never forgotten her kindness towards people and have spent my life trying to live up to that standard of understanding and love towards others. The only thing I wanted in life was to be as good a parent to my children as she was to hers. What else is there to life really than to tread lightly on this earth and be kind…she led the way, and we try to follow her light.
We will all miss her. Goodbye Mom, see you later down the road…

  1. Diane, Art, David, and Ryan…

Sorry to have read about your Mom’s passing…she was always pleasant, and had a smile for everyone. Growing up with you all as neighbors remain a very fond memory! God Bless you all…

  2. Diane, Ryan and to your entire family: I am so very saddened to hear this news. My prayers go out to your entire family. Your mother seems to have been a wonderful person. I wish I would have known her better, but I believe I only met her on one occasion. Take care and my hugs go out to each of you.

  3. Diane and family,
My condolences to you all in the loss of your mom. May the happy memories help shorten the sorrowful times and tears. May the time you spend with family and your togetherness comfort and provide blessings to you all.
