Marie Haaksma

Marie Haaksma, 91, of New Braunfels, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in New Braunfels. Born on March 3, 1926 in Ballinger, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Willoby Jordon Milam and Bammer Lee Smith Milam. Marie is survived by her children, Warren Maybin and his wife Elizabeth, Robert Lee Daniel, Albert Ray Daniel and his wife Ida, and Rose Gilbert; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Sample; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Haaksma, and 11 brothers and sisters.
A time to greet the family will be on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-8:30 p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 7:00 p.m.
