Nick Robert LaBarbera, age 65, passed away August 22, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on January 23, 1951 in Marlin, Texas, he was the son of Frank Joe LaBarbera and Lena Mae Harris LaBarbera of Marlin, Texas. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1969. He enjoyed playing in a band with his friends as the lead singer and then joined the Army Reserve after graduation from High School. Nick enjoyed working on cars, as he was a great mechanic, and enjoyed playing dominoes, hunting, fishing and camping on the Brazos River with his family. Nick was involved with the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council "4329" in Marlin, TX for several years. In 1985 he moved his family to New Braunfels, Texas to pursue his Insurance career. He loved his family and built many memories for a lifetime for us to share. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Joe LaBarbera and Lena Mae Harris LaBarbera and by many uncles, aunts and grandparents. He is survived by his children Nicholas and wife Lori LaBarbera of San Antonio, TX, Anthony LaBarbera of New Braunfels, TX, and Trina LaBarbera Keller and husband Kory Keller of Castroville, Texas; the mother of his children, Anthonett Rekieta LaBarbera of New Braunfels, TX; Seven Grandchildren, Jonah, Patrick, Taylor, Colton, and Hudson LaBarbera and Kaden, and Zane Keller; Sisters, Jackie LaBarbera of Thompsons Station, TN, Debbie LaBarbera Miller and husband Mark Miller of Dripping Springs, Texas, Teresa LaBarbera of Granbury, Texas, and brother Joe LaBarbera of Marlin, Texas. Also surviving are many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church Marlin, Texas with Reverend Ron Feather of Marlin, Texas officiating.
