Peggy Louise Gabbert

Peggy Gabbert was born July 28, 1938, in Brownfield, TX to Tilmon Everette Gabbert and Myrtle Rosella Brooks. Peggy passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in New Braunfels, TX at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy marked with compassion, humanity, humility, resilience, warmth, and devotion to her family. The hearts of her family members ache from her absence but take comfort in knowing that she is perfectly at home with her Savior. Family meant everything to Peggy. She took great pride in being a devoted Mother to her three children along with a generous heart for helping other family members and friends. She was the rock for so many loved ones.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers Tommy Gabbert, Bill Gabbert, Lee Gabbert, Gene Crawford, Dan Crawford, Benny Crawford; by her sisters, Delia Belle Gabbert and Sue Willard and by her step-siblings, Margie Lee Crawford, Edgar Crawford and Dalton Crawford.

Peggy is survived by her brother, Don Crawford (Shirlene Crawford) and her three loving children, Mickey Pachta (former daughter in-law Pat Pachta), Donna Williams (Chad Williams) and Karla Sue Gordon (Dwight Davis, mate) along with her 9 beloved grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 20 nieces and nephews. Peggy’s legacy will bloom eternally in those with whom she lived and loved. Peggy’s smile will be dearly missed by all who were touched by her love, warmth and spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Lux Funeral Home 1254 N. Business IH-35 New Braunfels, TX at 2:00 pm.
