Preston John Galvez, a resident of San Marcos, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, March 21, 2017 at the South Austin Medical Center at the age of 23. Preston was born on February 9, 1994 in San Marcos to Richard John Galvez and Donna Marie Hicks. During his professional career, Preston was employed as a certified automotive technician at Circuit of America. Preston was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Hicks. Survivors include his father, Richard John Galvez and wife, Neddie; mother, Donna Hicks; brothers, Joshua Eismann, Britton Galvez, Keaton Galvez, Isaac John Galvez and wife, Bethann, and Brian Economos; step-sisters, Sadie and Allyssa Castillo; grandparents, Robert and Lucy Galvez and grandfather Jimmy Hicks; nieces, Gabriella Galvez, Emery and Iris Galvez; nephew, Benjamin Michael Galvez. In addition, Preston is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. All services will end at the conclusion of the funeral service on Saturday afternoon.
