Ramon Hernandez

Ramon Barcenas Hernandez, 60, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Ramon was born on April 8, 1965 in Mexico, he was the son of Damacio Hernandez and Esperanza Barcenas Hernandez.

Raymond “Ramon” Hernandez was more than just an employee—he was one of my best workers and a true friend. For years, he dedicated himself to his job and to those around him, always giving his best. Everything changed when Raymond was struck with cancer. He was forced to step away from work and begin the difficult journey toward recovery. Despite the challenges, Raymond fought hard and eventually returned to work, even if only on a limited basis, showing the same determination and spirit that made him so special. His wife, Judy, stood by his side every step of the way, caring for him while also facing major health issues of her own. Their strength and love for each other were truly inspiring.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Judy Rodriguez Hernandez; and siblings, Inocencio Hernandez, Patricia Hernandez Barcenas, Ismael Hernandez (Josefina), Gustavo Hernandez and Vidal Hernandez. He is survived and loved by many cousins, nephews, nieces and his four cats.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with a procession to follow to Santo Tomas Cemetery.
