Rosalene (Rosie) Fay Love of Fischer, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 82. She was born on July 19, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to her parents, Hugo C. Schomer and Lucille Mary Wanat Schomer.

Rosie was a kind-hearted woman whose loving and joyful nature touched everyone around her. Always happy and helpful, she carried a deep sense of patriotism and a strong faith, finding great comfort and purpose in her love for Jesus. She cherished being surrounded by her family and was most at peace at home, where she delighted in watching her great-grandchildren play – especially Evelyn and Jane, who brought her so much joy. She has a deep appreciation for nature and, in her earlier years, enjoyed going out, staying active, and working in her yard. She also loved to read, often spending quiet moments immersed in a good book.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Opia Lee Love; her parents; her sister Lucille Swientek; and her brother, Hugo Schomer Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Melinda (Lee) Dabbs, and Opal Love; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret Swientek, Kathleen Wheeler, and Arleen Schomer Bryan, and her brother, Michael Schomer.
