Tilmon (T. L.) Walker, a long-time resident of New Braunfels, passed from this life on May 14, 2025, after
a lengthy illness. T.L. was born in Alice, Texas, but grew up on a farm in Aurora, Missouri. He and his
family moved to San Antonio when T.L. was a teenager after his father passed away on the farm.
T.L. began a 50+ year banking career in Aurora, Missouri, continuing in San Antonio, then moving with
his family to New Braunfels in 1976 to charter and serve as president of New Braunfels National Bank.
The bank eventually became Wells Fargo Bank after many bank mergers and acquisitions. After his
retirement from Wells Fargo, he served in executive lending roles with State Bank and Sage Capital Bank
in New Braunfels.
T.L. was active in many civic clubs and organizations to include the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of
Commerce, New Braunfels Noon Lions, New Braunfels Little League, Hope Hospice, United Way of
Comal County, and the New Braunfels Church of Christ.
T.L. is survived by his wife Donna of 62 years, three children, Deanna Callahan (Jim), Alan Walker, and
Eric Walker (Gina). He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Walker. He also leaves behind 12
grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. T.L. was rooted in his Christian faith, and enjoyed spending
time with family.
There will be a private service for T.L at a later date. The family would like to thank Jessica Jimenez and
staff at Hope Hospice, as well as the staff at Oak Tree Assisted Living, for their wonderful and loving care
