Virginia M. Espinoza

Virginia Medina Espinoza passed away on September 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and her faithful companion, her dog, Gigi. Virginia was born on March 30, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas to Daniel Medina Sr. and Sofia Sanchez Medina, she was the youngest of 4 children. She married Victor Espinoza in New Braunfels, Texas. They had 3 children: Henry, Sofia, and Jesus. Virginia touched the lives of many people with her loving and giving heart. She always welcomed everyone into her home. She enjoyed preparing food for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Victor; sons Henry and Jesus, and granddaughter Tina Garcia. She is survived by her daughter Sofia Gonzales and husband Mario Gonzales; grandchildren, Lori Espinoza, Thomas Ramirez III, Gilbert Ramirez, Timothy Ramirez, and Rosa Hatton and 22 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her oldest sister Thekla Ayala and many nieces and nephews and her beloved Chihuahua, Gigi. Special thanks to Hope Hospice for their gentle care and compassion. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel.
