Virginia Young Rodriguez

Virginia Young Rodriguez, 93, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Her final days were spent surrounded by a devoted family. She was born on October 22, 1931, in Marion, Texas, to Francisco and Luisa Reyes Young.

She loved spending time with all her family. She enjoyed cooking during the holidays and for family gatherings during her healthier years. She also loved watching sports, especially watching her great grandson play football and baseball as well as her great granddaughter play basketball and softball. She supported them in all their efforts and was their biggest fan. She was strong in character and was a hard worker. She will be profoundly missed, and her absence will leave a lasting void in our lives.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nicolas Rodriguez; son, Juan Young Jimenez; and siblings, Jose Maria (Chema) Young, Consuelo Cantu and Francisco (Frank) Young, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Amelia Martinez, daughters Elvia Gonzalez (Antonio) and Olivia Rodriguez; daughter-in-law Stella Jimenez, granddaughters Alysia Velasquez (Willie Jr.), Melissa Leos (Lenny), Michelle Rodriguez and Monica Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Anthony Velasquez, Gavyn Leos and Sophia Leos.

A private viewing with the immediate family was held on April 30, 2025, at Lux Funeral home.
