Alberto Ogas Lopez, Sr., a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Saturday afternoon, December 10, 2016 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 68. Alberto was born on March 18, 1948 in Coahuila, Mexico to Cipriano Lopez and Maria Ogas Lopez. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita "Janie" Rodriguez Lopez on August 30, 2007. Survivors include his children, Berta Rivas, Veronica Lopez Castilleja, Mary E. Lopez, Alberto Lopez, Jr., Gregory Lopez, Isabel Torrez and Jesse Torrez; grandchildren, Leslie Rivas, Jessica N. Rivas, Juliuz C. Leon, Montana T. Leon, Angel R. Lopez, Michael T. Lopez, Destiny A. Lopez, Albert A. Lopez, III, Alex Lopez, Theresa Guardiola, Gregory Lopez, Jr., Clarissa Ramirez and Jayla Nieto; great-grandchildren, LillyAnna J. McKenzie, RoseAnnette Salas, Anthony J. Rivas and Thomas Lopez; brother, Luis Lopez; sisters, Josefina Lopez, Oralia Lopez, Maria de la Luz, Diana M. Lopez and Rosa E. Lopez. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home Chapel located at 189 N. Seguin Ave. in New Braunfels. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. All services will end at the conclusion of the Memorial Mass. (Please note: both the visitation and Rosary location is correct as stated.)
