Alfred Charles Lohse Jr.

Alfred Charles Lohse Jr. was born in Floresville, Texas, on Oct. 17,1938, and passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the age of 84. Alfred was a graduate of Howard Payne University and earned his master’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. Alfred served proudly in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy since 1957 and retired as a Naval Lieutenant Commander. He also worked as an elementary school teacher and principal in Texas and numerous Department of Defense Dependents Schools. Additionally, he coordinated multiple disaster relief operations for FEMA. Alfred is survived by his two children; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lux Funeral Home in New Braunfels. Alfred will be laid to rest with military honors on Monday at 2:15 p.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
