Alyssa Marie Paratore, 31, of New Braunfels, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, November 26, 2019. Alyssa graduated from New Braunfels High School and attended Texas A&M in Corpus Christi. Upon returning to New Braunfels, Alyssa was employed by various local establishments. Alyssa enjoyed working hard and learning new skills. She is survived by her mother, Deborah Paratore of Brevard, NC; sister, Emily McKellar and husband Coleman of Springfield, TN; her fiancé, Thomas Hanley of New Braunfels, with whom she was excited to build a life together. Additionally, Alyssa is also survived by her nephews, Colton and Vincent McKellar; aunts, Patricia Paratore, Deborah Paratore, Andrea Borowiec, and Janet Stewart; uncles, Ron Paratore, and David Paratore; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Paratore and uncle, Martin Paratore. Alyssa enjoyed singing, dancing, laughing, going for walks and playing with her dogs, Tutti and Frutti. She loved making people happy, regardless of how she felt. To Alyssa, the “glass was always half-full” never half-empty. The immediate family will have a private farewell. Friends and extended family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Alyssa on Monday, December 9, 2019 beginning at 5:00 PM at the Old River City Café on FM 725 in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blood and Tissue Foundation on Alyssa’s behalf.
