Ann Clendenin
August 1, 1937 ~ February 5, 2022
Ann Clendenin of Spring Branch, Texas passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the age of 84 years old.
A lifelong Texas native, Ann was well-loved in her small town. She was the mother of two children and came from a large family. Family was the center of Ann’s life. She always provided support and love to her family. She and her husband Allen worked hard to provide opportunities for their kids. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the absolute center of her world. She would proudly speak about them to anyone who would listen.
Ann was strong and tenacious. She was raised on a farm in Mercedes and had a strong work ethic. When her and Allen moved to Houston after he completed his service in the Air Force, she pursued opportunities that allowed her to be influential in the lives of other families as a nanny. When Allen and Ann retired to their home in Spring Branch, they became full time grandparents and were heavily involved in the lives of their children and grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her big heart and unwavering commitment to her family. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Allen Hudson Clendenin; two children, Debbie Wetz and husband Robert, and George Clendenin and wife Nicole; five grandchildren, Tina Schoenfeldt, Tiffany Miller, Connor Clendenin, Erin Clendenin, and Audrey Clendenin; and five great grandchildren, Taylor Schoenfeldt, Wyatt Schoenfeldt, Adriana Miller, Cheyenne Schoenfeldt, and Hezekiah Clendenin.
The funeral service will be Thursday, February 10 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Honey Creek in Spring Branch with Father Jimmy Drennan officiating. Interment will follow at graveside.
