Antonia G. Gomez

Antonia G. Gomez, a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 86. Antonia was born on April 14, 1928 in New Braunfels to Pasqual Gonzales and Maria Garcia. She later married Gil Gomez, who preceded her in death on September 16, 2005. In addition, Antonia is preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters, Margarita Villarreal and Guadalupe Ybarra. Survivors include her daughters, Esperanza Rodriguez and husband, Pedro, Gloria Gomez and Yvette Gomez; sons, Gilbert Gomez and wife, Maryann, George Gomez and wife, Delia, Guadalupe Gomez and wife, Teresa and Jaime Gomez and wife, Elsa; sister, Consuelo Villarreal; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00pm on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00am on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
