Austin J. Esplen

austin esplen
In loving memory of Austin J. Esplen, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023, surrounded by his family at the age of 25. Austin was born on February 16, 1998 to William and Roongtong Esplen in Texarkana, Texas. In 2001, his family moved to New Braunfels where Austin resided for the remainder of his life. He attended schools within NBISD and met many kind and compassionate teachers and classmates. In 2016, Austin graduated from New Braunfels High School and attended the Life Bridges and Gateway programs the following four years where he formed lifelong friendships. Austin passions included playing video games and watching shows like Spongebob Squarepants, Wheel of Fortune, and WWE. On the weekends, he looked forward to playing baseball with the New Braunfels Arc Angels and going out to eat with his friends afterwards. Austin was always filled with happiness and had a positive outlook on life. He was a source of light for everyone who knew him, and his joyful spirit will never be forgotten. He is survived by his parents, William and Roongtong Esplen, and his sister, Hillary Esplen, who will greatly miss the laughter, singing, and smiles he filled their home with.
