Blake Matthew Coronel

Blake M. Coronel, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the age of 29. Blake was born on June 17, 1993 in San Antonio to Jorge Sergio Coronel and Michelle Lynn Lawson. He was an excellent son and an outstanding father to his two young children, Ronin and Amelia, whom he loved playing with. Blake loved skateboarding when he was a young child then later developed a love for basketball. He loved playing basketball with his brother Sergio and his dad when he was off work. He loved spending time with his family! And of course, Blake loved playing video games and listening to his favorite band, Soilwork. Above anything else, he dedicated himself to loving and providing for his two young children Ronin and Amelia and fiancé Delia. Blake is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mary Christie Coronel and his paternal grandfather Manuel Coronel. Blake is survived by his fiancé, Delia Rodriguez and their children, Ronin and Amelia Coronel; dad, Sergio Coronel; mom, Michelle Lawson; siblings, Breanna Coronel, Sergio Coronel and Aaron Lawson; grandparents, Wilburn and Ingrid Lawson; father-in-law and mother-in-lawn, Cruz and Iris Rodriguez; aunts, Elsa Coatney and Alma Coronel; cousins Leslie Coatney, Kristen Coatney and Bryan Coatney; niece, Charlize Lawson and nephew, Aden Lawson. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday evening, November 28, 2022 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. All services will end at the conclusion of the visitation on Monday evening.
