Brandon Lewis Garvin

brandon garvin
On Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 Brandon Lewis Garvin passed away at his home in Schertz, Texas at the age of 25. He was surrounded by his parents, James and Rebecca Garvin; brother, Andrew Garvin; and step-sisters, Ashton and Aubree Cox. Brandon was born in Snyder, Texas on August 10th, 1991 and diagnosed at four-years-old with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Despite this, he graduated from Abilene High School in June 2010, and Byron P Steele High School in June 2013. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved playing games with just about anyone who didn't mind a little direction when he felt it was required. Brandon had an infectious love for life and a positive disposition that transposed itself on virtually everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him, including the nursing staff, physical therapists, counselors & doctors who provided their support and friendship over the past few months and years. In this sense, he taught us all about what is important in life and in doing so, brought true scale to the things we commonly refer to as problems. Brandon was preceded in death by his uncle, Anthony "Tony" Garvin; aunt, Rosetta Garvin; grandmother, Flossie Garvin; step-grandfather, Jerry Gandy; and grandfather, Glenn Garvin. Brandon is survived by his father and step-mother James and Rebecca Garvin; mother, Trina Fitzgerald; brother, Andrew Garvin; half-brother, Matthew Hale; step-sisters, Ashton & Aubree Cox; niece, Payton Cox; grandfather, Ronnie Fitzgerald; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Family & Friends are welcome to attend the visitation at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1254 Business 35 N., New Braunfels, TX, 78130.
