Carmen Elizabeth Hines was recently called home by her heavenly father, after a brave fight with cancer. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Henry and Marie Hines Sr. She spent most of her life in Austin and New Braunfels, Texas. Cookie as we called her, was a ray of sunshine to all she met. Cookie loved Aretha Franklin, singing “Respect”, Michael Jackson, swimming, bears and taking trips to Walmart. Cookie was preceded in death by her loving parents Henry and Marie Hines Sr., Henry Hines Jr. (Brother), Castine Hines (Sister), and Constant Ferraro (Sister). She is survived by her siblings, Randy (Brother) his loving wife Jeanne and son Randy Hines II (Nephew), Terrell Hines (Brother), Katrina Hines (Sister) and her children Britney and Tiffany Hines (Nieces), Dawn-ya Turner (Niece) and her loving cousins Melva and Deborah Viltz . All of whom cared for her throughout her life and in those final days. We would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Ola, social worker at River Gardens, for her kindness, professionalism and for taking care of Carmen throughout the years. Your love of Carmen was seen and appreciated!!! Special thanks to Sundance Nursing Home Facility and Hope Hospice Care for helping us with Carmen’s transition of life. Carmen’s final resting place will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, in a private graveside ceremony. GOD BLESS YOU COOKIE WE WILL MISS YOU!!!
