Carmen G. Helton, 93, died November 25th, 2022 at the nursing home after a long battle with Leiomvomas. She died peacefully in her sleep. She was born, March 27, 1929 in LA, California.
She was married to James D. Helton for over 40 years and blessed with 3 children, Alice, Margie and James. They were not just husband and wife but business partners with a bait stand and nursery in Brownsville, TX.
She is survived by her by her daughters, Alice Sholar-Griffiths and Margie H. Whittenburg. Her grandchildren Vanessa O. Tambula, Olivia R. Craig, James W. Sholar and Margie Lee Alaniz. Eight great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren and many many friends.
She is preceded by death by her husband, James D. Helton and son, James D. Helton Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Internment to follow at Comal Cemetery.
