Cathy Ann Sanders, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away early Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 at Rio Terra Senior Living in New Braunfels at the age of 71. Cathy was born on November 29, 1947 in Dublin, TX to the late James Kenneth Huff, Sr. and Zelma Mae Robinson. She later married Wayne Sanders, who preceded her in death on July 28, 2010. Cathy was a retired educator in the Austin Independent School District, devoting 35-years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Wayne Sanders. Survivors include her daughter, Holly May and husband, Aaron; grandchildren, Gavin, Parker, Carson, Holland and Ashtyn. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4600 Manchaca Rd., Austin, TX 78745. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Park, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr., Austin, TX 78749. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels or to your local animal shelter.

I met Cathy when Wayne was our accountant, a few years ago and we all became friends and shared several meals, together.
I’ve been thinking of her and looked her up and found her obit. Needless to say, I’m heartbroken.
