Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of Charlene, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a beautiful, intelligent, kind and loving person. She was my first cousin, neighbor and friend, growing up together in Corpus Christi. She will be missed by many within her family and community of friends.

  2. We are so sorry for Charlene’s loss. We knew her, as did so many, as a beautiful person and dancer, who was always friendly and kind to everyone who visited Come and Take It Squares in Gonzales. It was obvious that she was the perfect fit among the amazing, active stalwarts of the club. We and others in the square dance community will miss her dearly, and we send our condolences to Wiley and all her family.

  3. To say Charlene will be missed is to simple a statement…..what an amazing example she has been as a Christian woman….helping in any area needed. Our Church family has been blessed many times over. Her and Wiley have been the dynamic duo…..hug – prayers – love to all those she has left behind for a little while.

  4. Charlene was a strong woman of high standards who went far out of her way to be a good neighbor. Her death leaves a void that no one will be able to fill and I will miss her very much. Wiley, Randy, Kenneth, Donnie and Charles, I want to offer you and your family my condolences.

  5. Wiley and family, I want you to know that you are in our prayers. Charlene will greatly missed. She was a blessed friend and sister in Christ. Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

  6. Charlene was about three years old when this first cousin entered her life. She gifted me with a nickname that is still used to this day by my immediate family: Baby Nell. My earliest memories of her was her pulling a wooden grasshopper on Mother’s kitchen floor. Later she taught me how to throw a baseball and how to kick a football. Receiving a new wardrobe from her just before school started each fall was a delight. Recently I told her that she had received the talent of the Spence cousins when I thought of her corn dolls, her sewing dresses and bonnets for them, her photography ability, painting, and raising a garden and preserving its bounty. Anyone who knew her was enriched by her acquaintance. She leaves a vacant place in my heart, but I know where she is now. I feel we can all be comforted by that.

  7. Wiley, Randy, Kenny, Donnie and Charles, our prayers are with you during these difficult times. Memories are what will get y’all through. We knew y’all moved into our neighborhood many years ago but we really got to know all of you when I drove the school bus and you kids road to Seguin. Those were the days. RIP Charlene, you will be missed

  8. Wiley & family, our prayers are with you all. Charlene was a wonderful example for me of what a Christian wife and mother is like. Mike and I love her dearly as our sister in Christ; and Wiley, we love you as our brother. May God comfort you as only He can. Aaron said to let you all know that he loves you and is praying for you.

  9. Dearest Kenny, Debbie and Berryman Family we are so sorry for your loss and want you to know that our hearts are with you during this difficult time. We are thinking of you and keeping you close in our thoughts in our prayers and are wishing you moments of peace. God’s Blessings to you all.

  10. Kenny and Debbie, we were so saddened to hear about the loss of Kenny’s mom. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

  11. You are in our thoughts and prayers. So very sorry for your loss. Charlene will be missed by everyone. God bless and keep you and the family.
