Obituary for Chris Henk

Chris Paul Henk entered his eternal home surrounded by family on March 11, 2019 in Kyle, Tx at Seaton Hospital. Chris is survived by his sister, Helen Henk Voss; nieces, Karen Nance (Scott), Christina Stover (Dwayne), Laura Henk; nephews, Mike Voss (Lisa), Matt Voss (Crystal), Robert Henk, Brian Henk (Teresa), Robert “Bobby” Henk, and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Henk and Frances (Fey) Henk Halbadier; brothers, David Nolan Henk and Gary James Henk.
He was born June 30th, 1954 in New Braunfels, Tx to Robert and Frances. He made the New Braunfels area his lifelong home. He was a 1973 graduate of New Braunfels High School and was active in FFA showing steers and hogs which was influenced by his growing up and working on the Henk family farm. He was employed many years with Structural Metals Inc. (SMI) in Seguin, TX driving both short and long-haul trips. Chris was a man of great faith. He was most proud of his personal walk with Jesus and his church family at Cowboys for Jesus in Fischer, TX. He was fond of being outdoors which often included boating, hunting, and sitting by a roaring campfire. He also looked forward to his morning coffee fellowship with his close friends. He will be remembered for his giving nature and helpfulness to his fellow man in need. While Chris was faced with many health challenges the last several years, he faced them with great courage, faith, and grace.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 23rd, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Cowboys for Jesus Church in Fischer, TX.
