Chris Nevarez, age 47, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, April 28, 2019 at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin. Chris was born on July 1, 1971 in New Braunfels to the late Raul Nevarez and Esmeralda Rios. By trade, Chris worked as a carpenter during most of his professional career. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and by his brother, Raul “Big Eddie” Nevarez. Survivors include his brother, Paul Nevarez; sister, Barbara Nevarez and husband, Rudy Rodriguez and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and by four aunts. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Immediately following the Rosary, family and friends will have an opportunity to share a few words about Chris. A reception will follow at Sally Deleon’s home at 16 Moss Rock Dr. here in New Braunfels, where all are invited.
