Clifford Compton

Clifford E. Compton was born in Greenville, Texas on October 6, 1947 and passed at his home in New Braunfels, Texas on October 15, 2019 with his wife Mickie and his children by his side. Cliff proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam war. He retired after 30 plus years from the El Paso Natural Gas Company. He met his wife Mickie in 1999, and they married in January of 2001. Cliff was a compassionate man that loved his family and friends with his whole heart. His grandchildren were the light of his life. His witty humor and fun nature made Cliff a joy to always be around. Cliff enjoyed spending his free time with family, riding his Harley, shooting guns, listening to music, and watching the birds. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ina Mae Compton, and younger brother Dale Compton. He is survived by his loving wife Mickie Compton of New Braunfels Texas, his children Leah Leerssen and husband Wayne of Austin TX, Staci Compton of Carlsbad NM, Christy Compton of Carlsbad NM, Ryan Compton of Oklahoma City Ok, Kellie Jo Cooper of Carlsbad NM, Bobbi Jo Crain and husband Robert of San Antonio, TX, John Cooper and wife Cara of Haslet TX, Patty Blackwell of Tempe AZ, also including twenty-two grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren.
