Dewey Earl Floyd

Dewey Earl Floyd, age 78, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away early Saturday morning, June 22, 2019 at Eden Home in New Braunfels. Dewey was born on October 21, 1940 in Hidalgo County, TX to the late Rufus G. Floyd and Bennie Finney Floyd. Mr. Floyd served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Ed Walker, Norman Duckworth and Carl Guelker. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Beverly Floyd; children, Kimberlie Floyd and Brian Floyd (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Kristina, Ayanni, Yazmyn and Aesia; great-granddaughter, Amelia; siblings, Ruth Duckworth, Bennie Walker Thompson (Charles), R.G. Floyd (Glenda), Frank Floyd (Julie) and Marjorie Guelker. In addition, Mr. Floyd is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
