Dillon Wayne Light, of New Braunfels TX and formerly of Palestine, TX died unexpectedly in his home on June 23rd 2021. He was born on January 20, 1997 in Conroe, TX, the son of Frances Evans and Gaylon Light. Dillon graduated from Canyon High School, Class of 2016. Although only 24 at the time of his death, Dillon had a positive influence on many people in his lifetime. He had a love for physical fitness and loved spending his time in the gym. He had plans to become a Fitness Trainer to help others in meeting their personal fitness goals. Dillon had a passion for wanting to live life to the fullest. He was such a light in everyone’s life, He wanted those around him to see him, love and accept him. He enjoyed learning from others by engaging in deep conversations with his friends and family. Dillon loved Jesus and his Momma more than anything in the world. His family meant so much to him, he was loved more than he knew. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Jean Carter and Freddie Brown; uncles, Earl Carter and David Brown; aunt, Brenda Gibson and nephew, Chance Evans. Dillon is survived in death by his mother and father, Frances Evans and Gaylon Light; two brothers, Jack Evans and Thomas Evans; two sisters, Amy Ivie and Amber Evans; four nephews, Price Evans, Tristan Evans, Levi Evans and Mike McCartney and two nieces, Jordyn Ivie and Layla Evans. We will continue to cherish memories, keep pictures and hear the stories of how wonderful and full of love all of their relationships were with him, and his memory shall never be forgotten. A Celebration of Dillon’s life will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2pm at a local river property located at 1390 Ervenberg Ave. and a small funeral service for close friends and family will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel.

  2. Dillon and his brother Thomas Jan. 1, 2003. I took them to Waco and we hiked along the river there.
