Donna Irene Porter-Burton

Donna Irene Porter-Burton, 87, of New Braunfels, Texas, went home Monday, November 30, 2020. Donna was born on May 11, 1933, in Hartville, Ohio to Kent Norman Sr. and Bessie Gay Sodon-Norman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed travel, attending church and enjoying company with family and friends. Donna’s heart for serving others was evident through her life’s work as an ICU nurse, Ambassador at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport for many years, and a volunteer at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, sisters , brothers, and husband Earl Burton. Survivors include her children Kathy Porter of Athens Ohio, David Porter and wife Becky of New Braunfels, Texas, Steven Porter and his wife Sandi of Braselton, Georgia, and Becky White-Porter of Salem, Ohio. Donna was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A wake for the celebration of her life will be held at a later time due to COVID-19.

My prayers for the family. I knew Donna for many years I had the privilege of being her hairstylist and we had many great conversation I will truly miss her once a month visits her sweet complements and wise advice and the how are you KIDDO or see you later KIDDO and when I say I want to do something different with my hair don’t let me do it . That was my favorite knew that wasn’t going to happen lol !!! She will be greatly missed What a sweet lady!!!!!!!
As a little Norman girl, one of my most favorite aunts was my Aunt Donna. I remember her kind eyes, her sweet voice and her amazing hugs! She was so special to me in my much younger days, and will always be. XOXO Much love to all, Pamela
