It is with great sadness that the family of Earline H. Ross announces her passing following difficulties with heart and kidney disease on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Eden Hill in New Braunfels at the age of 86. Born and raised in Jourdanton, TX February 10, 1933 she was the daughter of Severin and Christine Zezula Bender. Earline will be lovingly remembered by her children, James Ross (Deana), Lisa Hoffmann (Floyd), Robyn Ross Scott (Christian), and Michael Ross (Darcy). Earline will also be fondly remembered by her 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and siblings, Clarence Bender and Mildred Estep (Buford); son-in-law, Steve Lawson; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Sewell. She will also be dearly missed by numerous nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Severin and Christine Zezula Bender; husband, Charles Ross; children, Sandra Lawson, Randy Sewell, and Charles Ross; and sister, JoAnn Ross. Earline was a loving and devoted mother and grand-mother to seven children and many grand and great-grandchildren. In her later years Earline worked as a dedicated caretaker to the sick and aged population and spent many years providing her services in nursing homes and private residences. Earline was talented in the kitchen and loved to cook and bake for those she loved and cared about. She was skilled at sewing and quilting everything from beautiful quilts to adorable Christmas tree ornaments. Earline enjoyed the thrill of winning and could often be found hedging her bets in a church bingo hall or a luxurious Louisiana casino. A memorial service and celebration of Earline’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel.
