Eleanor A. Garrison

Eleanor A. Garrison, a resident of Canyon Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 13, 2012 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home at the age of 84. Eleanor was born on July 21, 1928 in Garner, Iowa to Charles Brcka and Emma Ptacek Brcka. Husband Don and Eleanor enjoyed a marriage that spanned some 55 years. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Don Garrison; son, Don Garrison; sister, Agnes Liska; grandchildren, Staci and Corey and numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a dedicated wife who loved her family dearly. Moreover, her dedication as a mom who sacrificed for her family will always remain in the hearts of both her husband and son. Mom always had a special way of making everything work out. While mom was busy taking care of life at home, she somehow found time to volunteer as both a school crossing guard and cafeteria worker. She will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home chapel with Father Tony Pesek officiating. All services will end at the conclusion of the memorial service.
