Eligio Sanchez

Eligio Sanchez, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 9, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waco at the age of 80. Mr. Sanchez was born on November 24, 1940 in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Placido Sanchez and Agustina Lopez. Mr. Sanchez served in La Defensa Rural in Mexico. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Placido Sanchez Munos and Agustina Lopez Aquino; children, Agustina Sanchez, Edmundo Sanchez, Roberto Sanchez and Virginia Sanchez; brothers and sisters, Santiago Sanchez, Juan Sanchez, J. Carmen Sanchez and Simeon Sanchez. Survivors include his loving wife of 59-years, Flabia Garcia De Sanchez; children, Eufemia and spouse, Alfonso Orduna, Juvenal and spouse, Lupe Sanchez, Irma and spouse, Antonio Robles, Dolores and spouse, Reynaldo Angel, Marcos Sanchez, Ana Bertha Sanchez Garcia, Juan Gabriel and spouse, Lacey Sanchez, Isidro Sanchez and spouse, Josefina and Magdalena and spouse, Michael Lucien; 30 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. In addition, Mr. Sanchez is survived by brothers and sisters, Ignacia Salazar, Lucia Sanchez, Esther Hernandez, Sirina Sanchez, Jose Erasto Lopez and Catalina Meza. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Braunfels. Interment will take place at a later date in Mexico.
