Estela G. Delgado

Estela Garcia Delgado, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home in New Braunfels at the age of 94 from natural causes. Estela was born on September 18, 1918 in Mier, Tamaulipas Mexico to Jose Garcia Lugo and Gregoria Canales. Estela spent most of her working career as an insurance agent. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed traveling the world visiting India, Germany, Costa Rica and learning about new cultures. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Liborio Canales and by six brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Maria Alicia Garcia and husband, Ezequiel of New Braunfels; son, Liborio Canales, Jr. of San Diego; five grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Karen Tudor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hope Hospice, 611 N. Walnut Ave., New Braunfels, TX 78130.
