Fidencio E. Luna, loving husband, father and grandfather, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Sundance Nursing Home in New Braunfels at the age of 85. Mr. Luna was born on November 17, 1925 in San Pedro de las Colonias Coahila, Mexico to Juan Luna and Gregoria Enriquez Luna. Fidencio later married Isabel Villarreal Luna on July 28, 1957. In addition, he was a member of Union Funebre de Padres Familiares. Fidencio was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Gregoria Luna; two brothers, Anselmo and Pasqual Luna, and by a sister, Paula Aleman. Survivors include his loving wife, Isabel Luna; daughters, Angie Valdez and husband, Sipriano and Alice Urbina; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Catalina Ortiz and husband, Thomas and Dolores Sanchez. Numerous nieces and nephews survive Mr. Luna as well. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The funeral procession will depart Lux Funeral Home at 9:45 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2011 for a 10:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Camillo Botello, Jr., MSF, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Comal Cemetery.
