Frances Evans "Granny Franny" passed away on November 1st, 2021, after a long battle with COPD. She took last breath at home with her family by her side. She was previously married for nearly 20 years and lived in Huntsville TX, before relocating back to her hometown of Palestine TX. She is survived by four children, Amy Evans, Jack Evans, Amber Evans, Thomas Evans, all of New Braunfels TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Tristan, Price, Jordyn, Michael, Layla and Levi. Fran is proceeded in death by her mother and father, John and Freddie Brown, sister Brenda Gibson, brother David Brown, son Dillon Light and grandson Chance Evans. Frances was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend. After her divorce in 1996, Fran raised her 5 children and cared for her mother for 10 years. She was a quick witted, fire cracker and kept all of her children on their toes. She moved to New Braunfels with them in 2014. She took multiple road trips with her daughters, and rode a gondola across the Sierra mountains. She went to Vegas and saw the Grand Canyon. She joined a Bunco group and attended Women's retreats. We can all agree that her pride and joy were her grandbabies, Layla and Levi. Words can't explain how much she poured into the lives of those babies. Most of all, she was able to spend all of the time she could with her children and grandchildren making memories that will last a life time. Our hearts will forever never be the same without this amazing woman in our lives.. We will miss her dearly and we look forward to the day that God calls us all home to be reunited with her and our baby brother in Heaven. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to assist for funeral expenses. You may contact Lux Funeral Home, 830-624-0500.
