Gale was a playmate throughout my childhood. I have many treasured memories of the adventures we had on Academy Street. He was wonderful company for my Dad during his own illness– they could talk for hours sharing memories of people they knew, ancestors, and family history. Gale seemed to know everything that happened in New Braunfels. My father loved those conversations.
